Rodolfo Sturaro vs Sergio Abate

Boxing Daily Report from the Akuffo Promotions promoted show at Bologna Visco, Bologna,  taking place on 31/12/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Italy-Lazio Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rodolfo Sturaro (11 - 6 - 7) who hails from Rome, Italy and Sergio Abate(2 - 10) from Rome, Italy.  Sturaro weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces, while Abate weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fausto Segre, and the three ringside judges are Luigino Curto, Marco Pasetto and Rico Bevilacqua.  

Round 1: 

Sturaro sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sturaro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sturaro pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Abate's body.  
Abate is looking to close the distance.  Sturaro hits home with a left uppercut.

Abate throws a right hook, but Sturaro holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sturaro pushes his forearm into Abate's face.  The referee warns Sturaro and breaks the clinch.  
Sturaro advances into close range and connects with a right hook.
