Mikio Sakurai vs Kei Kusumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Hyogo Prefectural Cultural Gymnasium, Kobe,  taking place on 07/01/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Japan Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Sakurai (23 - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Kei Kusumoto(13(2) - 0) from Chofu, Japan.  Both Sakurai and Kusumoto weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuji Muramoto, and the three ringside judges are Jiro Matsubara, Hiro Katayama and Daiki Ose.
