Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Pavilion Convention Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 01/01/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Erwin (6 - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Dong-jun Koo(6 - 11 - 1) from Busan, South Korea.  Erwin weighed in at 104 pounds and 11 ounces, while Koo weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Norris, and the three ringside judges are Dave Evan, Johnny Deasmhumhain and Ian McAfee.  

Round 1: 

Erwin advances into close range.  Erwin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Erwin lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  Erwin clinches his opponent.  Erwin is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Erwin about fouling.
