Arran Groves vs John Malles

Boxing Daily Report from the Sijabala Promotions promoted show at Mobile Skiver, Mobile,  taking place on 25/12/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Alabama Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Arran Groves (10 - 5 - 2) who hails from Mobile, USA and John Malles(15(1) - 3(1) - 1) from Mobile, USA.  Both Groves and Malles weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brin Prentis, and the three ringside judges are David Nist, Stephen Glasford and Daniel Batie.  

Round 1: 

Malles manages to force Groves into the corner.  Malles feints a cross, and then drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Malles connects with a cross.  
Malles pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Malles pivots from in front of his opponent.  Malles digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Malles throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Groves is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Malles feints a cross, tricking Groves into launching a right hook counter.  Malles avoids the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Malles advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Groves's body.  
Malles forces Groves to back into the ropes.  Malles lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malles drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Malles lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Malles advances into close range.  Groves throws a right hook, but Malles holds on to his opponent.  Groves tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Malles behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Groves about fouling.

Malles is looking to close the distance.  Malles sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Malles lands a left uppercut.  Malles ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Malles pushes his forearm into Groves's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Malles.
