Ian Cotts vs Henry Abel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Kentucky promoted show at Lexington Magill, Lexington,  taking place on 28/12/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Kentucky Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Cotts (17(10) - 0) who hails from Louisville, USA and Henry Abel(17 - 7 - 3) from Louisville, USA.  Cotts weighed in at 125 pounds and 8 ounces, while Abel weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noel Aitkens, and the three ringside judges are Leon Prosser, Roger Crombie and Mark Malis.  

Round 1: 

Cotts advances into close range and connects with a right uppercut.

He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Cotts clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cotts pushes his forearm into Abel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cotts.

Cotts lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Abel almost instantly recovers. 
Cotts lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cotts connects with a sharp left hook.  
Cotts advances into close range and manouvers Abel into a corner.  Abel throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.

Cotts steps inside.  Abel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cotts is on target with a left hook to Abel's body.  Cotts clinches his opponent.  Cotts uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Abel behind the head. The ref breaks Cotts's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
