Paul Malcom vs Dave Darby

Boxing Daily Report from the ABP Promotions promoted show at Kill Gym, Baltimore,  taking place on 02/12/2027:

Clearly ABP Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Maryland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Malcom (21 - 5) who hails from Baltimore, USA and Dave Darby(10 - 13(1) - 1) from Baltimore, USA.  Both Malcom and Darby weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jamie Bigg, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Pickens, Aaron Clarkson and Ewan Pickens.  

Round 1: 

Malcom gets on the inside.  Darby throws a left hook, but Malcom ties up his opponent.  Malcom tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Darby behind the head. As they grapple, Malcom pushes his forearm into Darby's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Malcom hits home with a left hook.  
Darby sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Malcom lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Darby tries to keep the action at long range.  Malcom throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Darby throws a left hook, but Malcom clinches his opponent.  Malcom leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Malcom pushes his forearm into Darby's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Darby switches the action to the outside and drives a cross into Malcom's body.  
Malcom is looking to close the distance.  Darby quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Malcom is on target with a solid left hook to Darby's ribs.  Malcom clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Malcom pushes his forearm into Darby's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
