Nori Yamazaki vs Daichi Morikawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Ota-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 08/01/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nori Yamazaki (5 - 10 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Daichi Morikawa(6 - 7 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Yamazaki and Morikawa weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Toyama, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Nakamura, Hikaru Onaga and Kyo Tsutsumi.  

Round 1: 

Morikawa lands a cross.  
Yamazaki is looking to keep his distance.  Morikawa is on target with a cross.

Morikawa gets on the inside.  Morikawa sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Yamazaki is on target with a left hook.  As Morikawa tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Yamazaki dabs at his face checking for damage.
