Alastair Curtin vs John McQuistion

Boxing Daily Report from the Howe Out promoted show at Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 14/01/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alastair Curtin (10 - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and John McQuistion(11 - 7 - 2) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Curtin and McQuistion weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Brown, and the three ringside judges are Robert Smillie, Clinton Martie and Declan Haturini.  

Round 1: 

Curtin steps inside.  Curtin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McQuistion throws a right hook, but Curtin ties up his opponent.  Curtin leans on his opponent using all his weight. Curtin pushes his forearm into McQuistion's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Curtin.
