Ian Friel vs Blake Burrell

Boxing Daily Report from the Chileya Promotions promoted show at Chalikyan Gym, Baltimore,  taking place on 02/01/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Friel (10 - 10(2) - 2) who hails from Syracuse, USA and Blake Burrell(19(7) - 1) from Baltimore, USA.  Friel weighed in at 122 pounds, while Burrell weighed in at 121 pounds And 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ian Mickle, and the three ringside judges are Daniel Gebbie, Jamie Bigg and Stephen Entrekin.  

Round 1: 

Friel steps away from his opponent and connects with an overhand right.  
Burrell lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.

That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Friel tries to keep the action at long range.  Burrell is on target with a sharp overhand left.

Burrell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Friel throws a left uppercut, but Burrell clinches his opponent.  Burrell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Burrell's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Burrell cuts off the ring, trapping Friel on the ropes.  Burrell lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
