Jose Sabino vs Spencer Mundy

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Stan Spirou Field House, Manchester,  taking place on 20/01/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Sabino (12(4) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and Spencer Mundy(2 - 2) from San Diego, USA.  Sabino weighed in at 121 pounds And 5 ounces, while Mundy weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua McGee, and the three ringside judges are Robert Stirton, Lee MacGowan and Lee MacGowan.  

Round 1: 

Mundy closes the distance.  Sabino lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Sabino holds on to his opponent.  Sabino pushes his forearm into Mundy's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sabino about fouling.  
Mundy pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sabino lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sabino tries to keep the action at long range.  Mundy attempts to land a cross, but Sabino sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Sabino is on target with a right hook.  
Sabino lands a spiteful jab.  
Mundy manages to force Sabino onto the ropes.  Sabino lands a ramrod jab.  
Mundy gets on the inside.  Sabino hits home with a right hook.  
Mundy steps inside and forces Sabino to retreat onto the ropes.  Sabino lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Sabino holds on to his opponent.  Sabino pushes his forearm into Mundy's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sabino about fouling.

Mundy advances into close range.  Sabino pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sabino is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sabino feints a left hook, and then lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Sabino lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Mundy throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sabino lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Mundy gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sabino lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sabino clinches his opponent.  Sabino hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Sabino switches the action to the outside.  Sabino feints a right, and then lands a jab, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.

Mundy gets on the inside.  Sabino sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sabino dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sabino digs in a solid left hook to Mundy's body.  
Mundy steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but Sabino ties up his opponent.  Mundy uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sabino behind the head. Sabino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

Sabino steps away from his opponent and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS MUNDY TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Mundy cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Sabino!
