Mike McBride vs Diego Batista

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at House of Blues, Boston,  taking place on 22/01/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mike McBride (10 - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Diego Batista(7 - 5 - 5) from Tallahassee, USA.  McBride weighed in at 199 pounds and 12 ounces, while Batista weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Evans, and the three ringside judges are Oliver McCleese, Ian Sproule and Hugh Hier.  

Round 1: 

McBride closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McBride advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut.
