Floyd Forbush vs Joe Cay

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at 16th Street Station, Oakland,  taking place on 04/02/2028:

Clearly Bones Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Forbush (18(1) - 0) who hails from Evansville, USA and Joe Cay(8 - 14(2) - 4) from Austin, USA.  Both Forbush and Cay weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Seth Frith, and the three ringside judges are John Benitez, John Prophet and Joey Catherwood.  

Round 1: 

Forbush lands a spiteful jab.

Cay tries to keep the action at long range.  Forbush lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Forbush is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Cay blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cay forces Forbush to retreat onto the ropes.  Forbush throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Forbush is looking to close the distance and hits home with a firm left hook.  Forbush clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Forbush pushes his forearm into Cay's face.  The ref breaks Forbush's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Cay pivots to the side of his opponent.  Forbush connects with a solid cross.
