Satoru Umemoto vs Fumio Shimoda

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 29/01/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Satoru Umemoto (13(1) - 4 - 2) who hails from Shizuoka, Japan and Fumio Shimoda(13 - 1 - 1) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Umemoto and Shimoda weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ichiro Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Fumio Nakazawa, Isamu Shibuya and Kazuhiko Furukawa.
