Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Ruiru Kaggia, Ruiru,  taking place on 24/01/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Gunda (20 - 7(2)) who hails from Nakuru, Kenya and Mike Tangus(12 - 7 - 2) from Ruiru, Kenya.  Both Gunda and Tangus weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Lai, and the three ringside judges are Amon Itote, Max Arita and Jay Karanja.  

Round 1: 

Tangus feints a jab, but Gunda is not fooled and is on target with a cross.

Gunda wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Tangus.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.
