Rob Wyly vs Rich Smuraglia

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 22/01/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rob Wyly (3(1) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Rich Smuraglia(8 - 6 - 1) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Wyly and Smuraglia weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Bruce, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Moultrie, Johnny Deasmhumhain and Ewan Duffy.  

Round 1: 

Wyly steps inside and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Wyly clinches his opponent.  Wyly is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Wyly pushes his forearm into Smuraglia's face.  The referee warns Wyly and breaks the clinch.  
Smuraglia throws a right hook, but Wyly clinches his opponent.  Wyly leans on his opponent using all his weight. Smuraglia pushes his forearm into Wyly's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Smuraglia to stop fouling.  
Wyly hits home with a left hook.  
Smuraglia throws a left hook, but Wyly holds on to his opponent.  Wyly tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Smuraglia's kidney. Smuraglia is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Wyly hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch.

Smuraglia advances into close range.  Wyly is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Wyly lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Wyly lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Smuraglia gets on the inside and walks Wyly down, trapping him in a corner.  Wyly drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.
