Ryuu Maekawa vs Felix Kovarik

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Northeast Forestry University Gymnasium, Harbin,  taking place on 12/02/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ryuu Maekawa (12(5) - 0) who hails from Amagasaki, Japan and Felix Kovarik(6 - 16 - 1) from Ostrava, Czech Republic.  Both Maekawa and Kovarik weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gao Tao, and the three ringside judges are Sun Tie, Kong Mo and Yo Tian.  

Round 1: 

Maekawa feints a cross, and then is on target with a left hook.  
Kovarik is looking to close the distance.  Maekawa throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Maekawa clinches his opponent.  Maekawa pushes his forearm into Kovarik's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Kovarik's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kovarik's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
