Olindo Montanez vs Sam Terris

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at New City Gas, Montreal,  taking place on 05/02/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Olindo Montanez (5(2) - 0) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Sam Terris(13 - 7 - 1) from Mississauga, Canada.  Both Montanez and Terris weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Smith, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Morton, Paris Clarin and Paul Coupland.  

Round 1: 

Montanez advances into close range and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  Montanez clinches his opponent.  Montanez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Montanez to stop fouling.  Montanez throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Montanez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND TERRIS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Terris is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Terris could be stopped here, if Montanez can find the right shot!  Montanez lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a cross to the head, DROPPING TERRIS TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Terris is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Montanez!
