Dan Claudel vs Kieran McCardle

Boxing Daily Report from the Joshua Henry promoted show at Concord Centre, Sheffield,  taking place on 04/02/2028:

Clearly Joshua Henry have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dan Claudel (14(5) - 0) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Kieran McCardle(7 - 6(1)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Claudel and McCardle weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alexander McClenny, and the three ringside judges are Paul McCalla, Mel Loch and Robert Goff.  

Round 1: 

Claudel lands two jabs followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Claudel tries to keep the action at long range and lands a firm overhand left.  
Claudel attempts to land a jab, but McCardle sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
McCardle advances into close range.  Claudel connects with a right uppercut.  
Claudel is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McCardle steps inside.  McCardle sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Claudel lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  Claudel clinches his opponent.  Claudel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Claudel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Claudel tries to keep the action at long range.  Claudel feints a cross, but McCardle is not fooled and responds with a left uppercut.  
Claudel is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Claudel steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
McCardle advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  McCardle throws a right hook, but Claudel holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Claudel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Claudel is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Claudel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Claudel lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Claudel feints a left hook, and then connects with a stinging cross.  
McCardle closes the distance.  Claudel lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  McCardle quickly recovers. 
Claudel steps to the outside.  Claudel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Claudel lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
McCardle walks Claudel down, trapping him on the ropes.  McCardle sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Claudel drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Claudel pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McCardle quickly recovers. 
Claudel lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Claudel lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Claudel lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McCardle's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Claudel tries to step out of his opponents range.  McCardle quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Claudel lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Claudel lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Claudel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McCardle throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a mean right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCCARDLE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  McCardle recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
McCardle advances into close range.  Claudel lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
McCardle gets on the inside and walks his opponent into the blue corner.  McCardle throws a left uppercut, but Claudel holds on to his opponent.  Claudel pushes his forearm into McCardle's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Claudel about fouling.  
Claudel is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Claudel is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Claudel connects with a solid cross.  
McCardle is looking to close the distance.  Claudel is on target with a solid right hook to McCardle's ribcage.  
McCardle throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McCardle quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Claudel steps to the outside and SLAMS a big cross into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES MCCARDLE!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Claudel!
