Shayan Sharifi vs Chris Howie

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Scotiabank Centre, Halifax,  taking place on 03/02/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Shayan Sharifi (12(9) - 0) who hails from Hyderabad, India and Chris Howie(1 - 0 - 2) from Toronto, Canada.  Sharifi weighed in at 252 pounds and 9 ounces, while Howie weighed in at 239 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gregor Durning, and the three ringside judges are Robert Smiles, Dillon Jacobs and David Walkinshaw.  

Round 1: 

Sharifi advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Sharifi holds on to his opponent.  Sharifi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sharifi lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Sharifi is on target with a firm right hook.  
Sharifi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sharifi lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Sharifi ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sharifi pushes his forearm into Howie's face.  The referee warns Sharifi and breaks the clinch.  
Sharifi closes the distance and tries to land a right hook, but Howie slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sharifi lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sharifi clinches his opponent.  Sharifi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Sharifi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Sharifi lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Sharifi lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sharifi lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Sharifi hits home with a firm right hook.  
Howie is looking to close the distance.  Sharifi lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sharifi tries to land a left hook, but Howie slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sharifi lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sharifi closes the distance and hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Sharifi lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sharifi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Sharifi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Sharifi connects with a firm right hook.  
Sharifi lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Howie connects with a cross.  
Sharifi pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sharifi walks Howie down, trapping him on the ropes.  Howie throws a left hook, but Sharifi clinches his opponent.  Sharifi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sharifi steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Howie almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Howie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Sharifi lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Sharifi is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a hard jab.  
Sharifi is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm left hook.  
Howie throws a left hook, but Sharifi clinches his opponent.  Sharifi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sharifi digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Howie attempts to land a jab, but Sharifi blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sharifi lands a jab.  
Sharifi closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sharifi feints a jab and triggers a right uppercut counter from Howie.  Sharifi springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Sharifi gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Howie almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Sharifi lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Sharifi lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Sharifi closes the distance and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Sharifi lands a right hook.  
Sharifi drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Howie gets on the inside.  Sharifi throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Sharifi ties up his opponent.  Sharifi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sharifi drives a solid right uppercut into Howie's body.  
Sharifi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Howie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sharifi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Sharifi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Howie quickly recovers. 
Sharifi lands a sharp left hook.  
Sharifi lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sharifi lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sharifi attempts to land a right hook, but Howie parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Howie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Howie's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Sharifi cuts off the ring, trapping Howie in a corner.  Sharifi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Howie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sharifi closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
