Leon Paxton vs Clinton Hossack

Boxing Daily Report from the Juicebox Promotions promoted show at Inigo Skirvin Gym, Surrey,  taking place on 11/02/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leon Paxton (13 - 5 - 3) who hails from Burnaby, Canada and Clinton Hossack(17 - 8 - 1) from Burnaby, Canada.  Both Paxton and Hossack weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Jones, and the three ringside judges are Lee Christy, James Clelland and Spencer Clary.  

Round 1: 

Paxton tries to land a jab, but Hossack blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Paxton is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Hossack lands a cross.  
Hossack gets on the inside and walks Paxton into the red corner.  Hossack throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hossack lands a cross.  
Paxton steps away from his opponent.  Paxton sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hossack hits home with an overhand right.  
Hossack pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Paxton advances into close range.  Paxton pivots from in front of his opponent.  Hossack hits home with a left uppercut.  
Hossack closes the distance.  Paxton digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paxton's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Paxton's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hossack advances into close range and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Hossack goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Paxton's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Hossack is on target with a cross.  
Hossack feints a jab, tricking Paxton into launching a left hook counter.  Hossack springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.

Paxton leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Hossack accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Paxton.  
Hossack sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hossack connects with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hossack dabs at his face checking for damage.
