Jiro Kondo vs Akira Asa

Boxing Daily Report from the Nottinggham Promotions promoted show at Ichiro Mikami Gym, Sendai,  taking place on 23/01/2028:

Clearly Nottinggham Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jiro Kondo (9 - 13(1) - 1) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Akira Asa(6 - 1) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Kondo and Asa weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Keiichi Nakata, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Shiraki, Hiroki Tamashiro and Mitsuru Miyake.  

Round 1: 

Asa lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.
