Takeshi Koizumi vs Takeshi Kikuchi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kyoto promoted show at Ichiro Tao Gym, Kyoto,  taking place on 21/02/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kyoto Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Takeshi Koizumi (4 - 0) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Takeshi Kikuchi(7 - 11 - 2) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Koizumi and Kikuchi weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Fujimoto, and the three ringside judges are Dai Oye, Kenji Fujimoto and Mikio Nagata.  

Round 1: 

Koizumi lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Koizumi clinches his opponent.  Koizumi pushes his forearm into Kikuchi's face.  The ref breaks Koizumi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
As Kikuchi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Koizumi dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Koizumi is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Koizumi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Koizumi pushes his forearm into Kikuchi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Koizumi.
