Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Centennial Gardens, Bakersfield,  taking place on 23/03/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Cobra Berlanga (26(16) - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Cris Cendejas(14 - 1(1) - 2) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both Berlanga and Cendejas weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noel Bertram, and the three ringside judges are Harry Millar, Fraser Lesley and William Shawn.  

Round 1: 

Berlanga sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Cendejas tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Cendejas lands with a ramrod jab.  Cendejas throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Berlanga switches the action to the outside and lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Berlanga digs in a right hook to Cendejas's body.  
Cendejas walks Berlanga onto the ropes.  Cendejas is on target with a cross.  
Berlanga is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cendejas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Berlanga lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cendejas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Berlanga lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cendejas forces Berlanga to back into the ropes.  Berlanga lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cendejas steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Berlanga sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Cendejas lands a cross.  
Berlanga is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Berlanga finds the target with a jab.  
Berlanga steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cendejas strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Berlanga switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Cendejas almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Cendejas pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Cendejas walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Berlanga lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Berlanga is looking to keep his distance.  Berlanga feints a cross and triggers a right hook counter from Cendejas.  Berlanga springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
Berlanga is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Cendejas tries to land a cross, but Berlanga sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook to Cendejas's body.  
Berlanga is looking to keep his distance and EXPLODES a FEROCIOUS cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE CENDEJAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Berlanga stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Berlanga lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS CENDEJAS TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Berlanga!
