Diederich Gehl vs Cort Schaer

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Soemmeringhalle, Berlin,  taking place on 12/03/2028:

Clearly JH Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diederich Gehl (12(3) - 0) who hails from Essen, Germany and Cort Schaer(6 - 4) from Duisburg, Germany.  Both Gehl and Schaer weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bin Scher, and the three ringside judges are Kolby Becker, Strom Kuntzman and Dolphus Berndsen.  

Round 1: 

Schaer is looking to close the distance.  Gehl sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gehl lands a firm left uppercut.  Gehl clinches his opponent.  Gehl is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Gehl and breaks the clinch.

Schaer advances into close range.  Schaer is on target with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gehl dabs at his face checking for damage.

Gehl steps to the outside and lands a jab, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.

Schaer gets on the inside and walks Gehl onto the ropes.  Gehl lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gehl steps away from his opponent.  Gehl sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Schaer attempts to land a cross, but Gehl sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gehl feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to Schaer's body.  
Gehl tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a stinging jab.  
Schaer closes the distance.  Gehl quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid right uppercut.  
Gehl steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Schaer is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but Gehl holds on to his opponent.  Gehl leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Gehl's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Schaer sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gehl lands a right hook.  Gehl clinches his opponent.  Schaer is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Schaer dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Schaer.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Gehl is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Schaer steps inside and throws a right hook, but Gehl holds on to his opponent.  Gehl leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
