Hernan Davila vs Rafael Merlos

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Spain-Catalonia promoted show at Terrassa Real, Terrassa,  taking place on 29/02/2028:

Clearly AI Spain-Catalonia have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Catalonia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hernan Davila (9 - 2(2) - 5) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Rafael Merlos(8 - 8(3) - 4) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Davila and Merlos weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Larenzo Siguenza, and the three ringside judges are Marjun Barro, Nemesio Contrera and Vicente Inocencio.

Davila quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Merlos tries to land a jab, but Davila sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Davila walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Merlos throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Merlos clinches his opponent.  Merlos throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Davila is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Merlos advances into close range and hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Davila's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Merlos pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Davila tries to land a right hook, but Merlos blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Merlos feints a jab, tricking Davila into launching a right hook counter.  Merlos is waiting for the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Davila walks Merlos into the red corner.  Merlos connects with a left hook.

Merlos attempts to land a left uppercut, but Davila parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Merlos gets on the inside.  Davila pivots to the right of his opponent.  Davila attempts to land a right uppercut, but Merlos sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Davila's body.  
Davila manages to force Merlos into the corner.  Merlos lands a left hook.
