Carvell Richoux vs Noel Hugo

Boxing Daily Report from the Danquah Promotions promoted show at Pikine Jacob, Pikine,  taking place on 01/03/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Senegal Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RTS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carvell Richoux (10 - 10(1) - 3) who hails from Pikine, Senegal and Noel Hugo(11(1) - 4) from Dakar, Senegal.  Richoux weighed in at 159 pounds and 11 ounces, while Hugo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Geron Jacque, and the three ringside judges are Valentin Gasson, Dominique Le Roy Ladurie and Orleans Dabo.  

Round 1: 

Richoux gets on the inside.  Hugo lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hugo steps inside.  Richoux pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hugo lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hugo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Hugo is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Hugo is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Richoux steps to the outside.  Richoux quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hugo lands a cross.  
Hugo connects with a stinging cross.  
Hugo gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Richoux is looking to close the distance.  Hugo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Hugo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hugo throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Hugo clinches his opponent.  Hugo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hugo to stop fouling.  
Hugo advances into close range and drives a solid left uppercut into Richoux's liver.  
Hugo steps inside and manages to force Richoux into the blue corner.  Hugo lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hugo hits home with a right hook.  
Hugo drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Hugo ties up his opponent.  Hugo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Richoux behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hugo.  
Hugo lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hugo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Richoux's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Richoux's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Round 2: 

Hugo hits home with a left hook.  
Richoux switches the action to the outside.  Hugo lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Hugo lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Hugo ties up his opponent.  Hugo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Hugo hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Hugo and breaks the clinch.  
Richoux sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hugo lands a left hook.  
Richoux is looking to keep his distance.  Hugo lands a jab.  
Richoux walks Hugo into a corner.  Hugo lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Hugo is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Hugo drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Hugo steps inside and drives a left hook into Richoux's body.  Hugo attempts to land a left hook, but Richoux slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hugo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hugo lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hugo lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Richoux tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a cross, but Hugo slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Hugo advances into close range and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Hugo lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Hugo lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Richoux closes the distance.  Hugo hits home with a solid left hook.  
Hugo attempts to land a jab, but Richoux sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Hugo gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Hugo pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a firm right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Richoux's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hugo walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hugo hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Richoux steps away from his opponent.  Hugo is on target with a sharp cross.  
Hugo closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Richoux throws a left hook, but Hugo clinches his opponent.  Hugo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Richoux's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hugo to stop fouling.  
Hugo lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Richoux throws a right hook, but Hugo holds on to his opponent.  Hugo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hugo lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Hugo thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Richoux away.  Hugo lands a nasty left hook.  RICHOUX IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  It looks like Richoux has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Hugo steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hugo walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Hugo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hugo closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Hugo drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Richoux throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Hugo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a VICIOUS left uppercut.  RICHOUX WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Richoux almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Hugo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hugo lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS RICHOUX TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Richoux cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Hugo!
