Juul Vermaak vs Jevonte Sono

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Ellis Park Arena, Johannesburg,  taking place on 15/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Southern African Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juul Vermaak (11 - 0) who hails from Randburg, South Africa and Jevonte Sono(16(1) - 5 - 2) from Durban, South Africa.  Vermaak weighed in at 140 pounds, while Sono weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Peter Mbalula, and the three ringside judges are Quaashie Duncan, Fraser Mulder and Xhosas Kwadwo.
