Dave Ruxton vs Bruce Weatherton

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at El Paso Howell, El Paso,  taking place on 25/03/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Ruxton (15 - 5) who hails from Austin, USA and Bruce Weatherton(13(1) - 3) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Ruxton and Weatherton weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arthur Kinna, and the three ringside judges are Leon Zamorano, Nicholas Wynne and Greg Speed.  

Round 1: 

Weatherton closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ruxton is on target with a jab.
