Floyd Cassidy vs Patrick Magaw

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Agganis Arena, Boston,  taking place on 08/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Cassidy (14 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Patrick Magaw(2 - 2) from San Diego, USA.  Both Cassidy and Magaw weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyle Ormiston, and the three ringside judges are Peter Cooper, Richie MacIsaac and Ian Noble.  

Round 1: 

Magaw steps inside.  Cassidy digs in a right hook to Magaw's body.  Cassidy holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Cassidy pushes his forearm into Magaw's face.  The referee warns Cassidy and breaks the clinch.  
Cassidy steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Magaw tries to tag Cassidy on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Cassidy lands with a stiff jab.  
Magaw tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Cassidy is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Magaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cassidy lands a jab.  
Cassidy steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cassidy lands a jab.  
Magaw throws a right hook, but Cassidy ties up his opponent.  Cassidy throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cassidy to stop fouling.  
Cassidy lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cassidy steps to the outside and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cassidy lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Magaw throws a right uppercut, but Cassidy clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Magaw pushes his forearm into Cassidy's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cassidy lands a left hook.  
Magaw steps inside.  Cassidy lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cassidy lands a right hook.  Cassidy ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cassidy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Magaw's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Magaw's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Magaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Magaw throws a left hook, but Cassidy holds on to his opponent.  Magaw tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cassidy behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magaw to stop fouling.
