Kyo Ueno vs Marques Badoe

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Funabashi Arena, Funabashi,  taking place on 29/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kyo Ueno (19(12) - 0) who hails from Funabashi, Japan and Marques Badoe(10 - 8(2) - 4) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Ueno weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces, while Badoe weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hisoka Nakamura, and the three ringside judges are Goro Horie, Hisoka Nakamura and Akira Kamei.  

Round 1: 

Badoe is looking to close the distance.  Ueno lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Ueno ties up his opponent.  Ueno pushes his forearm into Badoe's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ueno.  
Ueno steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Badoe quickly recovers.

Ueno sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Ueno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ueno lands a stinging cross.  Ueno attempts to land an overhand right, but Badoe blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Badoe is on target with a jab.  
Ueno is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Ueno lands with a ramrod jab.  
Ueno sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ueno tries to land a jab, but Badoe slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ueno lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ueno tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ueno is on target with a sharp overhand right.  
Ueno lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.

Badoe throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a VICIOUS left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BADOE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Badoe almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ueno is on target with a spiteful jab.  Ueno tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Badoe closes the distance.  Badoe pivots to the side of his opponent.  Badoe throws a left hook, but Ueno holds on to his opponent.  Ueno is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ueno is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Badoe walks Ueno down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Ueno lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ueno steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Ueno lands with a ramrod jab.  
Ueno throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Ueno holds on to his opponent.  Ueno is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Ueno's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ueno steps to the outside.  Badoe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ueno lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Badoe manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ueno finds the target with a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Badoe's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Badoe's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Ueno lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Ueno sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Ueno steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ueno is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits the target with a spiteful jab.
