Luis Pavon vs Haider Abdou

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at American Airlines Center, Dallas,  taking place on 01/04/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luis Pavon (24 - 0) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Haider Abdou(16 - 13(4) - 2) from Houston, USA.  Both Pavon and Abdou weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Toste, and the three ringside judges are Floyd Celestino, Mike Ruane and Roger Lochhead.  

Round 1: 

Pavon hits home with a cross.  
Pavon closes the distance.  Pavon connects with a right hook.  As Pavon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Abdou dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pavon manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Pavon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pavon lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  Pavon holds on to his opponent.  Pavon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pavon gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pavon advances into close range.  Pavon pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pavon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Pavon pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Abdou switches the action to the outside.  Pavon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Pavon advances into close range.  Abdou throws a right hook, but Pavon clinches his opponent.  Pavon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Pavon and breaks the clinch.
