Eoin McIver vs Leonardo Vizcaino

Boxing Daily Report from the MCK MARBELLA promoted show at Pabellón Ciudad de Algeciras, Malaga,  taking place on 01/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Eoin McIver (4 - 0) who hails from Limerick, Ireland and Leonardo Vizcaino(2 - 8 - 4) from Seville, Spain.  Both McIver and Vizcaino weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rio Rita, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Pinel, Diego Ruedas and Cortez Portilla.  

Round 1: 

McIver steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
McIver connects with a left hook.  
McIver gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  McIver clinches his opponent.  McIver is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McIver connects with a right uppercut.

McIver pivots from in front of his opponent.  Vizcaino lands a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McIver dabs at his face checking for damage.

McIver gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but misses the target.  McIver holds on to his opponent.  McIver leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, McIver pushes his forearm into Vizcaino's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McIver sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McIver attempts to land a cross, but Vizcaino sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
McIver digs in a left hook to Vizcaino's body.  
Vizcaino is looking to close the distance.  McIver lands a solid right hook.  McIver clinches his opponent.  McIver pushes his forearm into Vizcaino's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McIver lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McIver lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Vizcaino's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Vizcaino's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Vizcaino's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
