Joey Mathias vs Joe Bryars

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Victoria promoted show at Next Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 14/03/2028:

Clearly AI Australia-Victoria have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Victoria Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joey Mathias (5 - 11 - 3) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Joe Bryars(7 - 9 - 2) from Melbourne, Australia.  Mathias weighed in at 229 pounds and 1 ounces, while Bryars weighed in at 239 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andy Wright, and the three ringside judges are Alec Saghatelian, Steven Malas and Malcolm Hanken.  

Round 1: 

Mathias advances into close range.  Mathias quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bryars drives a left hook into Mathias's ribs.
