Owen Steenson vs Lucas Pew

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Bob Guertin Arena, Gaineau,  taking place on 07/04/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Owen Steenson (2 - 0) who hails from Lonueuil, Canada and Lucas Pew(1 - 4 - 3) from Calgary, Canada.  Steenson weighed in at 240 pounds And 11 ounces, while Pew weighed in at 230 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Henry, and the three ringside judges are Louis Gillespie, Sid Leys and Prewitt Gedeon.  

Round 1: 

Steenson switches the action to the outside and lands a solid jab.  
Steenson gets on the inside.  Steenson pivots to the right of his opponent.  Pew attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Steenson's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Pew throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

Steenson feints a jab and triggers a cross counter from Pew.  Steenson avoids the shot and counters with a cross.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Steenson dabs at his face checking for damage.  Steenson has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
