John Gatt vs Brett Porteous

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Waikato promoted show at Dai Kahiwai Gym, Hamilton,  taking place on 27/03/2028:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Waikato have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Waikato Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Gatt (5 - 3) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Brett Porteous(2 - 6 - 1) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Both Gatt and Porteous weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joe Catanach, and the three ringside judges are Aika Rako, David Darnley and Josh Methven.  

Round 1: 

Porteous lands a jab.  
Porteous steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gatt tries to keep the action at long range.  Porteous feints a jab, tricking Gatt into throwing a right hook counter.  Porteous springs the trap and counters with  a cross.

Gatt's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gatt's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
