Thuso Nhleko vs Xeres Gabaldon

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Yankee Stadium, New York City,  taking place on 06/05/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Thuso Nhleko (21(5) - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Xeres Gabaldon(12 - 9(3) - 3) from Bogota, Colombia.  Both Nhleko and Gabaldon weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Giorgetti, and the three ringside judges are Matthew Renwick, Massimo Alemanno and Lee Gladstone.  

Round 1: 

Nhleko advances into close range and digs in a left hook to Gabaldon's ribs.  
Nhleko lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nhleko walks his opponent into a corner.  Nhleko drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Nhleko lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  As Gabaldon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nhleko dabs at his face checking for damage.

Nhleko steps inside and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Nhleko holds on to his opponent.  Gabaldon leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Nhleko pushes his forearm into Gabaldon's face.  The referee warns Nhleko and breaks the clinch.  
Nhleko lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nhleko closes the distance and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gabaldon tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a solid jab.  
Nhleko closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nhleko lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Nhleko gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gabaldon's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Gabaldon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gabaldon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
