Ponce Rita vs Pablo Cordon

Boxing Daily Report from the Mashaba Promotions promoted show at Gervasio Cortes Gym, Managua,  taking place on 26/04/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua-Managua Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Rita (3 - 11 - 3) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Pablo Cordon(17 - 3(1)) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Both Rita and Cordon weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Delgado, and the three ringside judges are Tajo Tabora, Neron Limes and Porfio Sanchez.  

Round 1: 

Cordon steps inside and digs in a right uppercut to Rita's ribs.  
Rita is looking to close the distance.  Cordon connects with a left uppercut.  
Cordon gets on the inside.  Rita throws a right hook, but Cordon clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Cordon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
