Mikio Konda vs Naoki Nakazawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo,  taking place on 20/05/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Konda (23(5) - 1) who hails from Amagasaki, Japan and Naoki Nakazawa(12 - 8(2) - 4) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Konda and Nakazawa weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aki Fujii, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Tsutsumi, Hikaru Nakamura and Nori Saito.  

Round 1: 

Konda connects with a stinging overhand left.  
Konda lands with a ramrod jab.  Konda attempts to land a cross, but Nakazawa blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nakazawa throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook to Nakazawa's body.
