Mark Rocks vs Paul Evans

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Vivanta Concord, Chennai,  taking place on 30/05/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Rocks (27(11) - 2 - 1) who hails from Birmingham, USA and Paul Evans(15 - 3 - 1) from Mesa, USA.  Both Rocks and Evans weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Dia, and the three ringside judges are Girish Mehra, Madhav Kamdar and Ananth Takshak.  

Round 1: 

Rocks sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Evans tries to land a jab, but Rocks slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Evans lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rocks switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Evans advances into close range and manages to force Rocks onto the ropes.  Evans sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rocks attempts to land a right hook, but Evans blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Rocks digs in a solid right hook to Evans's ribcage.  Rocks holds on to his opponent.  Rocks pushes his forearm into Evans's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Rocks throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rocks tries to step out of his opponents range.  Rocks drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Evans is on target with a jab to his opponents body.

Evans advances into close range.  Rocks hits home with a solid left hook.  
Rocks is looking to keep his distance.  Evans hits home with a cross.

He beats the count, getting up at 9.  He holds his fists up but stumbles into the referee! Evans doesn't look like he's recovered at all.  The ref seems to thinks so as well...he's signalling that the fight is over!  The winner by TKO is Rocks!
