Zuffur Betros vs Boris Maruska

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Police Officers' Club Stadium, Dubai,  taking place on 24/06/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zuffur Betros (8(3) - 0) who hails from Abu Dhabi, UAE and Boris Maruska(11 - 12(1) - 4) from Grodno, Belarus.  Both Betros and Maruska weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ali Baccash, and the three ringside judges are Asif Hamra, Gazi Maalouf and Adnan Zawahiri.  

Round 1: 

Betros lands an overhand right, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Betros finds the target with a hard jab.  
Betros lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Betros sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Betros is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Betros lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Maruska steps inside.  Betros digs in a left hook to Maruska's body.  Betros wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Maruska dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Betros tries to keep the action at long range and drives a jab into Maruska's body.  
Betros stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Maruska tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Betros is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Betros sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Maruska throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Betros sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Betros tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Betros lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Betros lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Betros steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Betros lands an overhand left to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Betros drives a jab into his opponents body.

Betros goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Maruska's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Maruska forces Betros to back into the blue corner.  Betros throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Maruska is looking to close the distance.  Betros lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Betros clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Betros pushes his forearm into Maruska's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maruska's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Betros lands two overhand rights followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Betros drives a stinging cross into Maruska's body.  
Betros hits home with a firm overhand right.  
Betros switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Maruska retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Betros tries to tag Maruska on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Betros digs in a left uppercut to Maruska's body.  
Betros sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Betros lands a stinging cross.  
Betros quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Betros feints a right hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Betros lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.

Betros is looking to force the stoppage!  Betros lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS MARUSKA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Maruska now seems to have his senses back.
