Ruben Theron vs Abe Marcussen

Boxing Daily Report from the Magicman Promotions promoted show at Magicman Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 01/05/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ruben Theron (14(5) - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Abe Marcussen(5 - 22(3) - 3) from Stuttgart, Germany.  Theron weighed in at 236 pounds And 6 ounces, while Marcussen weighed in at 225 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lee Donnell, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Rafferty, Leon Mohan and Sam Mulryan.  

Round 1: 

Theron hits home with a firm cross.  
Theron is on target with a solid jab.  
Theron is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Theron lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Marcussen sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Theron lands a hard jab.  
Marcussen is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Theron tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Theron lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Marcussen advances into close range.  Theron connects with a right uppercut.  
Theron lands a jab.  
Theron lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Marcussen walks Theron down, trapping him in the corner.  Some sustained pressure from Theron could be enough to finish Marcussen!  Theron lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MARCUSSEN DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  It looks like Marcussen has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Marcussen closes the distance.  Theron lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Marcussen throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Marcussen advances into close range.  Theron lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MARCUSSEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  Marcussen quickly recovers. 
Theron steps away from his opponent and lands with a hard jab.  
Theron lands a jab followed by a cross to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Theron strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Theron lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Theron is on target with a cross.  
Theron lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Marcussen recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Marcussen gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Theron on the ropes.  Theron lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Theron tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a solid jab.

Marcussen steps inside.  Theron SLAMS a spiteful left hook into his opponents face.  MARCUSSEN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Theron clinches his opponent.  Marcussen throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Marcussen.

Marcussen walks Theron onto the ropes.  Marcussen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Marcussen closes the distance.  Theron lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
