Agapetus Placido vs Luis Manguinao

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Smart Arenata Coliseum, Quezon City,  taking place on 01/07/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Philippines Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Agapetus Manila Mauler Placido (24(21) - 0) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Luis Manguinao(17 - 4 - 1) from Cebu City, Philippines.  Both Placido and Manguinao weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Callum Pamatong, and the three ringside judges are Fresco Carrero, Rob Picado and Paul Magpale.  

Round 1: 

Placido closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Placido lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Placido digs in a stinging right hook to Manguinao's body.  Placido clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Manguinao pushes his forearm into Placido's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Manguinao about fouling.  Placido attempts to land a right hook, but Manguinao dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Placido is looking to close the distance and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  
Placido sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Placido steps inside.  Manguinao sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Placido lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Manguinao throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Placido walks Manguinao down, trapping him on the ropes.  Placido lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Placido is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Manguinao attempts to land a jab, but Placido blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Placido gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MANGUINAO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Manguinao almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Placido feints a jab, and then connects with a cross.  
Placido closes the distance.  Manguinao pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Placido drives a jab into Manguinao's body.  
Placido drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Placido throws a right uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Placido clinches his opponent.  Placido is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Placido.  
Placido gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Placido drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  MANGUINAO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Manguinao recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Manguinao connects with a right hook.  
Placido steps inside and lands a solid right uppercut.  
Placido advances into close range and is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Manguinao switches the action to the outside and hits home with a solid cross.  
Placido lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Manguinao recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Manguinao's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Manguinao's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Placido advances into close range.  Manguinao throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Placido is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Placido tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Placido gets on the inside and digs in a solid right hook to Manguinao's ribcage.  
Placido lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Placido advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
Placido is on target with a nasty right uppercut.  MANGUINAO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Placido senses Manguinao is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Placido is on target with a VICIOUS right hook.  MANGUINAO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Placido switches the action to the outside.  Placido EXPLODES a mean right hook into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES MANGUINAO!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Manguinao now seems to have got his legs back.

Placido is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Placido drives a sharp right hook into Manguinao's body.  
Placido lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Manguinao almost instantly gets his legs back.

Placido is on target with a left hook to Manguinao's ribs.  
Placido pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Placido pivots to the left of his opponent.  Manguinao attempts to land a jab, but Placido slips the shot and counters with a WICKED right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE MANGUINAO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Manguinao quickly recovers.

Placido lands a jab followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Placido lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Placido senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Placido drives a powerful right hook into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES MANGUINAO!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Placido!
