Bruce Tinkler vs James Grant

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at Sid Moffet Gym, Oxnard,  taking place on 30/05/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-California Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bruce Tinkler (20 - 8(2) - 4) who hails from San Diego, USA and James Grant(9 - 17 - 2) from Chula Vista, USA.  Tinkler weighed in at 126 pounds and 15 ounces, while Grant weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Malpass, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Quijas, Dai Kerwood and Alec Lochridge.  

Round 1: 

Tinkler backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Grant accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Tinkler.  
Tinkler throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Grant time to recover.  
Tinkler lands a cross.  
Tinkler drives a left hook into Grant's liver.
