Floyd Ponton vs Michael Gaw

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arkansas promoted show at Mark Cook Gym, Fayetteville,  taking place on 02/06/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Arkansas Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Ponton (13(2) - 1) who hails from Little Rock, USA and Michael Gaw(10 - 11 - 5) from Little Rock, USA.  Both Ponton and Gaw weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Lightbody, and the three ringside judges are John Saucer, Bryan Greeson and David Phaup.  

Round 1: 

Ponton gets on the inside.  Ponton pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ponton throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Ponton clinches his opponent.  Ponton is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ponton.
