Vashon Magqwaka vs Sam Mnkandla

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Isaac Wolfson stadium, Port Elizabeth,  taking place on 01/07/2028:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Southern African Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vashon The Mad Duck Magqwaka (19(10) - 2) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Sam Mnkandla(12 - 10(1) - 2) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Magqwaka and Mnkandla weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Matata, and the three ringside judges are Clint Mambweni, Themba Cele and Chris Matata.  

Round 1: 

Mnkandla connects with a cross.

Magqwaka advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Magqwaka ties up his opponent.  Magqwaka pushes his forearm into Mnkandla's face.  The referee warns Magqwaka and breaks the clinch.  
Magqwaka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Magqwaka is on target with a left hook to Mnkandla's ribs.  Magqwaka clinches his opponent.  Magqwaka throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Magqwaka forces Mnkandla to back into the ropes.  Magqwaka lands a solid right hook.  Magqwaka holds on to his opponent.  Magqwaka leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Magqwaka steps inside and is on target with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  MNKANDLA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mnkandla almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Magqwaka closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Magqwaka lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Magqwaka is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Magqwaka lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS MNKANDLA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Mnkandla now seems to have his senses back.
