Roman Lucero vs Robert Mandap

Boxing Daily Report from the Dauda Promotions promoted show at Calamba Hernandez, Calamba,  taking place on 19/06/2028:

Clearly Dauda Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Roman Luger Lucero (11(11) - 0 - 1) who hails from Rodriguez, Philippines and Robert Mandap(2 - 2 - 2) from Dasmarinas, Philippines.  Both Lucero and Mandap weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivan Talaro, and the three ringside judges are Venacio Tacud, Miguel Nieto and Olindo Suguitan.  

Round 1: 

Lucero closes the distance and lands a solid left hook.  
Lucero lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lucero forces Mandap to retreat into the corner.  Lucero connects with a right hook.  
Lucero hits home with a cross.  
Mandap advances into close range.  Lucero lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Lucero holds on to his opponent.  Mandap is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mandap to stop fouling.  
Lucero stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Mandap throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Lucero feints a right hook, and then finds the target with a ramrod jab.

Lucero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mandap tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.

Lucero walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Lucero lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lucero walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Lucero lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Lucero ties up his opponent.  Lucero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lucero lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.

Lucero SLAMS a nasty left hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE MANDAP WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Lucero holds on to his opponent.  Lucero hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 

Mandap lands a cross to Lucero's body.  
Lucero closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Mandap lands a left hook.  
Lucero is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Lucero feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lucero is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Lucero lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Lucero closes the distance and walks Mandap down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mandap attempts to land a right hook, but Lucero sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lucero throws a right uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Lucero clinches his opponent.  Lucero leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lucero lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND MANDAP IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Lucero holds on to his opponent.  Lucero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lucero stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Lucero lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MANDAP TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  Mandap now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Lucero steps inside and hits home with a firm right hook.

Lucero lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lucero closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND MANDAP IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Lucero!
