Andy Ceci vs Rich Elrick

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Adelaide Exhibition Centre, Adelaide,  taking place on 27/06/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Andy Ceci (8(3) - 2 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Rich Elrick(5 - 0 - 4) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Ceci and Elrick weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zach Drummond, and the three ringside judges are Kian Roland, Ethan Platt and Mark Carnes.  

Round 1: 

Ceci advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  Ceci ties up his opponent.  Ceci leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ceci lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ceci lands a right hook.  
Ceci sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ceci lands a sharp left uppercut.  Ceci holds on to his opponent.  Ceci pushes his forearm into Elrick's face.  The referee warns Ceci and breaks the clinch.  
Elrick throws a right hook, but Ceci clinches his opponent.  Ceci leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ceci pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ceci lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ceci advances into close range.  Ceci sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ceci digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Ceci ties up his opponent.  Ceci leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ceci lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Ceci clinches his opponent.  Ceci leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Ceci's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Ceci manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Ceci drives a solid left uppercut into Elrick's body.  Ceci holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ceci pushes his forearm into Elrick's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ceci.

Ceci lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ceci lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ceci hits home with a stinging left hook.  Ceci holds on to his opponent.  Ceci uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Elrick behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Elrick throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Elrick's ribs.  
Elrick throws a left hook, but Ceci holds on to his opponent.  Ceci is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ceci to stop holding.  
Ceci lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Ceci attempts to land a right hook, but Elrick slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ceci pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ceci lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Ceci is on target with a sharp right hook to Elrick's body.  
Elrick lands a left hook.  Ceci clinches his opponent.  Ceci is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Elrick's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Elrick's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Elrick's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ceci is on target with a stinging left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Elrick dabs at his face checking for damage.  Elrick has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Ceci drives a sharp left hook into his opponents liver.  
Ceci lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Ceci lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ceci lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Elrick tries to keep the action at long range.  Ceci lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Ceci is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Ceci drives a cross into Elrick's body.  
Ceci lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

The right shot from Ceci could be enough to force the stoppage!  Ceci lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND ELRICK IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Elrick now seems to have his senses back.

Ceci steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Ceci lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ceci walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Ceci slams a big right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  ELRICK HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Ceci!
