Ian Kinnick vs Stuart Tran

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing Promotions promoted show at Columbus Monce, Columbus,  taking place on 24/05/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ian Kinnick (0 - 0) who hails from Colorado Springs, USA and Stuart Tran(1 - 0 - 1) from Quebec City, Canada.  Both Kinnick and Tran weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Strassman, and the three ringside judges are Ollie Jerden, Darryl Boyle and Daniel Bigner.  

Round 1: 

Kinnick advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Kinnick gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  Kinnick attempts to land a left hook, but Tran blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kinnick hits home with a right hook.  
Kinnick lands a jab.  
Kinnick lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kinnick gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Kinnick holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Kinnick's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kinnick lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kinnick advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Kinnick contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Tran tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut to Tran's body.  
Kinnick tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.

Kinnick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Kinnick tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Kinnick lands a jab.  
Kinnick steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Kinnick closes the distance.  Tran connects with a right hook.  
Kinnick is looking to keep his distance and connects with an overhand right.

Tran quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tran throws a right uppercut, but Kinnick ties up his opponent.  Kinnick is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kinnick about fouling.  
Tran cuts off the ring, trapping Kinnick on the ropes.  Tran sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kinnick lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tran advances into close range.  Kinnick drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Tran is on target with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Kinnick's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Tran's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Kinnick steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Tran gets on the inside.  Kinnick drives a right hook into his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Tran has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Kinnick gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Tran advances into close range.  Kinnick digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kinnick closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kinnick closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Kinnick throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kinnick tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Kinnick closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Kinnick holds on to his opponent.  Kinnick leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
