Callum Mervyn vs John Gikonyo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Iria, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/05/2028:

Clearly AI Kenya-Nairobi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Callum Mervyn (13 - 8 - 3) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and John Gikonyo(7 - 11(1) - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Mervyn weighed in at 175 pounds, while Gikonyo weighed in at 176 pounds And 1 ounces.    As Gikonyo came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is LeBron Naikuni, and the three ringside judges are Lee Rebelo, Noah Odoyo and Scott Merande.
