Nick Bagudu vs Lukman Ofodile

Boxing Daily Report from the Shanungu Promotions promoted show at Leeroy Tyavkase Gym, Ilorin,  taking place on 27/05/2028:

Clearly Shanungu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kwara State Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nick Bagudu (4 - 10 - 2) who hails from Ilorin, Nigeria and Lukman Ofodile(2(1) - 2) from Offa, Nigeria.  Both Bagudu and Ofodile weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ike Obasanjo, and the three ringside judges are Lukman Adoke, Elderson Bunu and Yakubu Rasaki.  

Round 1: 

Ofodile gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ofodile quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bagudu tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Ofodile walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Ofodile lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ofodile lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bagudu connects with an overhand left.  
Ofodile sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Ofodile steps inside and is on target with a sharp right hook.  Ofodile ties up his opponent.  Ofodile is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Ofodile's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ofodile lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ofodile hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  Ofodile clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ofodile pushes his forearm into Bagudu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ofodile lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ofodile gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Ofodile clinches his opponent.  Ofodile is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Ofodile pushes his forearm into Bagudu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Bagudu steps away from his opponent.  Ofodile lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bagudu steps inside.  Ofodile lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ofodile lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ofodile steps inside and is on target with a solid left uppercut to Bagudu's body.  
Ofodile walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Ofodile lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ofodile is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a firm overhand left.  
Ofodile closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Ofodile cuts off the ring, trapping Bagudu in a neutral corner.  Ofodile quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
It looks like Bagudu has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ofodile whips in a nasty left hook to Bagudu's body.  BAGUDU HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Ofodile gets on the inside.  Ofodile pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND BAGUDU IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Ofodile stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Ofodile slams a DEVASTATING right uppercut into Bagudu's body.  BAGUDU IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF IMMEDIATELY WAVES OFF THE FIGHT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Ofodile!
